Abbey View Retail Park is a popular shopping area in the cathedral city of St Albans. Here you'll find major chain stores such as Sainsbury's, The Range and Halfords.
The retail park is located on Griffiths Way, under a mile south of St Albans City Centre. It is split into several separate areas, each with their own car park.
The main retail park area is home to Matalan, Halfords, Carpetright, Pets at Home and Tapi Carpets.
Across the road, the large Sainsbury's supermarket has a petrol station. Inside the store features an Argos, Lloyds Pharmacy and Explore Learning.
Further along Griffiths Way, the former Homebase / Bunnings Warehouse DIY store closed in 2018. In March 2019 it opened as a new branch of The Range.
The Range are a UK home, DIY and garden retailer, with stores across the country. Their new St Albans shop features a garden centre and an Iceland food store.
Sainsbury's and The Range each have cafes, plus toilets and baby change facilities. There is also a McDonalds restaurant with drive thru.
All stores are open 7 days a week, but opening hours vary from store to store. Most retailers are normally open until 8pm on weekdays. Sainsbury's open from 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday.
Customer parking is free, with time limits.
The retail park is near to St Albans Abbey railway station.
